The Most Beautiful Beaches in and Around Javea
Cala Granadella
It has already been voted ‘best beach in Spain’ twice. Not surprising, as it is located in a picturesque horseshoe-shaped bay with clear turquoise water, surrounded by jagged rocks and pine trees. Although the beach is gravelly, it is very popular with sunbathers as well as avid divers and snorkelers.. From this pebble beach you can enjoy a beautiful view over the bay of Javea. Ideal for paddleboarding or canoeing in the morning when the bay is nice and quiet. Enjoy a drink and a snack at the cosy beach bar La Bandideta or book a lunch at Restaurante Sur.
Cala Barraca o Portitxol
Visit Cala Clemence, a great restaurant with a beautiful view and a wonderful bohemian vibe.
Cala Ambolo
Cala del Moraig
La Grava
Primer Muntanyar o Benissero
El Primer Muntanyar is an extension of Benissero. At 1900 metres to the Parador de Jávea, this is the longest beach, with an attractive combination of pebbles and turquoise water (good for snorkelling and diving), typical of this wonderfully beautiful coastal region. Swimming’s great here, because from the moment you enter the water, you’re in about 2 metres’ depth. There are also steps here and there for easier access to the water. The natural environment and excellent chiringuitos (cosy beach bars) make this a pleasant place both during the day and in the evenings in the summer.
